The Debt Relief Program is designed for churches and pastors who:

• Have significant debt payments that are taking needed funds away from the budget for ministry and mission

• Need trustworthy, caring, professional assistance to help the pastor of lay leaders manage a campaign to reduce debt

• Want a low-pressure, prayer-oriented, community-building approach

The four-month process includes:

1. Consensus-building "visioning" focus groups

2. Priority-setting survey

3. Thorough communication through newsletters and brochures

4. Volunteers leading the decision-making

5. Member dialogue with the pastor

6. Stewardship education and a deliberate time of prayer

7. Three-year pledges

8. A well-deserved gratitude program
